Apple Insider says new ultra portable Apple laptop for MacWorld ’08!

Apple Insider claims that sources close to them at Apple’s production plants in Asia have told them that Apple will be rolling out an ultra portable version of the MacBook Pro at the much awaited MacWorld 2008 show in January. A month from now, we could see the first of its kind laptop from Apple. The sources also claim that the laptop will be just 0.5 inches thick and will use a flash based solid state drive instead of a regular hard disk. The laptop will also use a 12 inch screen and will cost $1,500 USD!

What this means for me: Well, I am on the verge of purchasing a new MacBook Pro. However, I have decided to wait until this MacWorld expo so that I could make a decision after looking at the new products. Even though this is just a rumor, it is still worth the wait. A month will pass by soon and I can be sure I made the right choice! Some sources also claim that a few computers may also get blue-ray drives! So, let us wait and watch. I’m keeping my fingers crossed. This MacWorld will be awesome!
